Feminist Aspie

Wait, is this who I think it is?

This blog supposed to be anonymous, but in all honesty I’m not very good at it, so I think if someone who knew me happened to visit the blog (either by chance or because I’ve led them to it), they might be able to work out who I am, so I thought I should lay out some ground rules for IRL friends who find this thing…

Hi! You’re probably one of the handful of feminist-y people from IRL that I’ve tried to coax on to the blog by following you on Twitter (or, in limited cases, WordPress). Yay!! If that’s the case, I’d like you to know that you’re here because I want you to be, so don’t panic! Having said that, it would be really cool if you let me know you’ve found me, just so I can keep track really. Alternatively, you might have stumbled upon here by chance, realised you’ve found the secret blog of someone you know, and panicked. Sorry about that. Welcome! Again, I would be super grateful if you could let me know you’re around so I can keep track.

This maybe goes without saying, but please please please absolutely do not put my name to the blog anywhere publicly, including social media. If you want to share a post on Twitter, please tag @FeministAspie rather than my other account, but also consider that we probably have a lot of mutual friends that could also work out who I am if they poke around on the blog, particularly on Facebook where everyone adds everyone, so please take that into consideration! If you want to share with a smaller group of people we both know, or maybe someone specific we both know, it might be worth asking first? Thanks, and sorry again about all the secret-anonymous stuff – I genuinely didn’t think I’d keep this blog going for as long as I have, or that anyone would ever actually read the thing, and being Found OutTM is always a possibility in the back of my mind now, but I’m now four years in so maybe I’m better at this than I think…
